In summertime, Ionian weather is almost always sunny and warm. A Northwest wind prevails (3/4 bfrt), and the sea is calm. During the afternoon a light breeze is common after 14:00 hours; and if there is already a breeze in the morning, one can expect a stronger wind by mid-afternoon (5/6 bfrt) to reach his destination with a reefed down main and Genoa.
